Performed PCR analysis of HIV-positive human DNA. Compared the efficacy of the heparinase to three ion exchange resins in overcoming the heparin-induced inhibition of Taq polymerase seen in heparinized blood samples.
1994 Thomas Jefferson University
Developed a series of clones consisting of sequential restriction endonuclease generated fragments of the Afast@ inactivating potassium channel. These clones were used to transfect Xenopus oocytes. The inactivating properties of the potassium channels were then assessed by patch and voltage clamp techniques.

Studied the prescribing habits of physicians regarding benzodiazepine utilization in the geriatric population.
2002 Albert Einstein Medical Center
Site Coordinator, Surgical Treatment for Ischemic Heart Failure (STICH) Trial. Patients with ischemic cardiomyopathy are randomized to medical versus surgical therapy. Surgical therapy includes traditional coronary artery bypass grafting and surgical ventricular restoration.
